Measuring wind speed is made easy with the Kestrel 1000 Pocket Anemometer. We designed the Kestrel 1000 Pocket Wind Meter in 1995 when NK founder Richard Kellerman needed a reliable wind meter to help him launch his kite. More than 15 years later, the instrument has gotten more advanced, and you can get wind information you can rely on with this simple, reliable, and accurate gauge. You can easily switch one Kestrel 1000's measured wind speed between mph, km/h, ft/min, m/s, knots and Beaufort.
Kestrel weather gauges are designed and manufactured in the USA and come with a 5 year warranty. It is designed in such a way as to ensure stability and accuracy when sudden changes in weather conditions occur. It is extremely durable, as Kestrel devices have undergone drop tests, are waterproof and are designed in such a way that they float if dropped in water.
